Many of the Telmatochromis sp. 'Red Cheek' fry have been moved out and are growing out in a small fry tank. Not much has changed in this tank, besides many of the plants have been moved out, and replace with new ones. Including, Microsorum pteropus, Cryptocoryne lutea, and Echinodorus amazonicus. I took out Limnophila aromatica, Myriophyllum aquaticum, Nymphoides sp. 'taiwan', Tonina sp. 'belem', Tonina sp. fluviatilis, Eleocharis acicularis, Hemianthus micranthemoides, Micranthemum umbrosum.
I have also began growing out a number of Neolamprologus multifasciatus to be included in this setup along with a new 10 gallon species tank.

A spawn...
Over the past months, the Telmatochromis sp. 'Red Cheek' have been breeding at a fairly efficient rate. With fry from at least 3 seperate broods still in the tank, they have persisted to push all the other fish over the left hand side and up into the corner. I have since removed around 12 fry from the tank, and placed them in a rearing tank.
Not much else to report for this tank.

Here's the History
This tank originally started out as a growout tank for 6 Young Altolamprologus calvus 'inkfin'. After a little accident with a heater, I lost all the calvus. I replaced them with a wild caught pair of Altolamprologus calvus 'white chaitika'. I lost the male of the pair a few months later to some unknown cause. I still have the female.
It currently houses 4 Steatocranus casuarius, 1 breeding pair of Telmatochromis sp. 'Red Cheek', 1 female Altolamprologus calvus 'white chaitika', and 2 male Ancistrus sp. Mainly due to the S. casuarias, this tank has a lot of character and is rather active. The S. casuarius have a very curious nature, watching things inside and outside the tank.
This tank is also an ongoing experiment to determine what plants will grow under the lower lighting.
Here are the basic tank specs
Size: 40 gallon, 36 x 15 x 16
Lighting: 35 watts of standard flourescent lighting.
Filtration: Whisper 60
Fauna: Telmatochromis sp. 'Red Cheek', Altolamprologus calvus, Steatocranus casuarius, Ancistrus sp.
Flora: Sagittaria subulata, Anubias nana, Limnophila aromatica, Myriophyllum aquaticum, Nymphoides sp. 'taiwan', Tonina sp. 'belem', Tonina sp. fluviatilis, Eleocharis acicularis, Hemianthus micranthemoides, Micranthemum umbrosum.
Other: 150 watt heater.
Here are some photos of the inhabitants:
